Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Public Works and directly accountable for oversight of the Public Works Division, the Assistant Director (AD) Public Works partners closely with the two other Assistant Directors in the Department, responsible for Engineering and Transportation respectively.

Job Responsibilities:

• The Assistant Director is responsible for the effective delivery of a full range of operational and capital programs to support City infrastructure needs for residents, visitors, business and other City departments.
• Examples of key initiatives this individual will lead include the Green Fleet Master Plan, asset management strategy, and new public works yard.
